Finally! Got My Bilstein's Installed

Got my bilstein's installed today along with my 2.25" rear blocks and I have to say that Im very pleased with the look as well as the ride.

I put the leveling 5100's on the front to the max setting and the rear 5100's on the back. I went with the 2.25" block after checking with the guys at Bistein.( the rears are 0-1")

It took myself and my uncle approx 3 hrs to do everything. Have to say with the help of my uncle who has 35 + years experience as a mechanic it went pretty smooth.

I don't find the ride rough at all, it is stiffer but more controlled. I actually find it 100% better than stock.

Im a happy man! :lol::uhoh:

Here are my measurements before and after to ground.

Before After

Fd 36 3/4 38 1/2

Fp 37 38 3/4

Rd 39 1/4 40 1/4

Rp 39 1/2 40 1/2

1st pic is when I first brought her home this summer.

2nd is yesterday before install

3rd is today after install. Sorry she's so dirty, I live on a gravel road and it's pissing out today.

Looks good, the ride with them is fantastic, the only people who say it is stiff are people who have never experienced them and do not understand they do not add extra load to the spring.

I had my 5100's installed yesterday on all four coners. The ride is much much better. I would recommend these with out hesitation. I have the front set to the highest setting and love the look. I am getting my new tires today (285/70/17) to help fill the wheel wells.

The ride in my opinion is perfect.

Can't get in for an alighnment till Monday so I'm trying not to do a lot of driving but I did hit a really rough road on the way home from work tonight and I'm still in awe of the ride and control.

The tires I have on now are my winters( goodyear territory's) 265 70 17's that I picked ip this summer on sale. The plan is to get new rims and tires sometime over the winter or spring for the summer.

Would love to go with the 20's with a 33" tire, but where I only gained 1" 3/4 I'm worried about rubbing in the front . Anybody have this setup know if they'll fit?

Up next, valance is coming off, a good coat of undercoating and a wash and wax before winter.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

This is the lift I want to do. Except instead of a block in the rear, I want to do an add a leaf so I get the same height as the block in the rear but I also add 4-500 lbs of payload.
