Any Suggestions Or Tips For Replacing Stock Radio?

A year ago my stock 6 disk CD changer stopped playing CDs. The radio and everything else still works. The past week has presented new problems. If I have the radio on when I turn the truck off and get out and let is sit for a few hours, the battery needs a jump to start it. I know it sounds weird, but I had the battery tested and it's 89%. When I make sure the radio is off when I get out, everything works fine. Now here's my real question.

What's a good replacement for my stock radio? I have the 7 speaker Bose system and the stock monitor / DVD player in the back. Do any of you guys have tips for installation?

BTW, I don't care if I lose OnStar or XM radio. I don't want to install an amp. I still want to use all 7 of my speakers, it would be nice to still use my steering wheel controls. I know I'm asking alot, but judging from previous posts I've seen you guys know alot of stuff.
