2011 poor heat and low air flow

I have a 2011 with the 6.2 litre. Now that it has become cold I notice that my heater is rather poor.

Even though the engine temp shows 100C the floor air is just warm not hot. I'm going to check with a digital indicator so I have some actual temp. Also with 100% on floor heat I get some airflow just on drivers side and a little bit on the trans hump just not a lot of flow either. Even when I put it on 100% defrost it still doesn't seem like a lot of airflow.

Is this normal or is there actually a heater problem with the truck? ie yesterday, I drove 20 miles and it was just getting warm inside. Outside temp was 0F.

Somethings wrong, my 2011 6.2L will roast my me out. Must be some sort of sensor issue :dunno:

Same with me and my 5.3 (didn't mean to rhyme) The climate control system on GM trucks has always been a strong point with me. Take a look on the F150 boards and all the complaints with AC not getting cold enough on the 09+. My truck will roast/freeze and anything between.

Okay, thanks for the replies. I will take it in. I'm hoping it is something with the airflow. I pretty much have it set 31C and full fan all the time.

It does have dual control heat and AC. I don't much like the little push buttons. Hard to hit them with gloves on and pretty much have to take my eyes off the road to find the controls. Maybe designers do not ever figure people will have gloves on when driving. (I wish!)

Mine is pretty poor as well, if I compare it to my '01. Most of the time I get to my destination (5-10 miles) and my heat isn't at max yet. So, driving 20 miles at 0 degrees probably won't have your heat all the way up yet.

I'm having several issues with my 2011 6.2 manual control also. Does not get cold enough and the setting will get stuck in vent or floor or defrost. Where I will have to flip the controls back and forth from low to high several times to get the air to change where I want it to come from. It will get stuck in heat or air conditioner and have to do the same with those to get it to switch! If i don't do that it will stay and not change the settings..... It's very frustrating. With the 2008 I had the heat and the cold worked excellent...

A little re-flash of HVAC control module and you'l be roasting! Yea those tiny pitcures on the small buttons are a pain

but set the control on auto dial in your temp and the computer that you paid for (the auto feature) will direct air flow to where its needed from info it gets from the many sensors both in summer and winter

Good luck Dave :chevy:
