6.2 Section

I'm thinking there should be a section in here that is only 6.2 related topics.

Theres enough of them and seem to be more and more coming a board.

Just a thought.

 

Maybe we can get a "PINNED" section.

There are no specialized engine forums. Only individual topics. Doesnt make sense then there would be a 4.3, 4.8. 5.3, 6.0, 6.2, etc.

I think there should be one. It's probably the most common topic as of late and it's fun to read reviews of guys towing with their 6.2's. I wonder if GM is getting more 6.2 buyers lately? There seems to be more talk of them lately.

No reason for a dedicated thread as anything that has to do with the 6.2 is applicable to the other V8s as well.

I think there should be a sticky post with the ordering info for the 6.2, ie: gears/rear axle/wheel sizes/rear discs etc since these questions seem to get asked over and over again.

Funny story from this weekend. My father in law, wife, son, and I went to go pick up his air compressor Friday (photos in picture forum). First time he has ever been in my truck. We leave his house and I pull on the main road and I barely hit the gas (no need to). He says "is something wrong does it take some time to get going?". My wife snickered in the back and I said no but I can put you into your seat then I hit it and he was like oooooo sheeeeettt haha. He drives a 94 s-10 and Tacoma 4 cylinders. He couldn't believe how smooth it was driving (shifting wise). Needless to say he will never again question the power of the 6.2

 

I will create a sticky (not this one but a new one for all your 6.2L info needed) later today.

My opinion... no need for a 6.2 section or sticky. The option codes are on the GM sites for buying, and what's special vs having a separate section for the 4.8, 5.3, or 6.0?
