pwr window works sometimes?

One of my windows (rear driver side) works intermittently. It always goes down but getting it back up is an issue. Sometimes it goes up fine, and other times I have to hit the switch a bunch of times to get it to work. It's not slow, it either works or it doesn't. Anyone have similar issues?

2009 pass rear window mostly when it cold outside. Summer works fine I havent spent much time trying to figure it out though as I dont roll the rear windows down much. Maybe someone will chime in with a solution.

I don't know what year your trucks are but on my 99 its the drivers window that will not work. Replaced motor still the same replaced switch still the same, checked with dealer and tech said it would need wire harness to vin to parts "out of stock no longer made" just my lucjk.:jester:

BMG09, mine is an 09 as well. It would make sense, temperatures just started dropping a bit here down in FL. I hope someone else can give more info or if you figure something out please let me know, it irks me when you dive a nice new truck and little crap like this doesn't work.

I have a 2010 and have the same problem with the back passenger window. We just noticed it. Seems to only happen when its cold, like stated above. It would be nice to know what is going on.

Sounds like the regulator is binding. I had trouble with my passenger side. Changed the motor/regulator assembly. Piece of cake. Works great now.

I took it in last week, it was covered under GMPP major guard. They replaced the switch, however, it started doing it again in like 6 hours, going to take it back in and suggest the motor/regulator be replaced as Tesnoboy stated above. Will let you guys know

Finally an update, took it to a different dealership, they tested the switch (that the other dealer put in) and found it to be no bueno, put a new one in, took like 2 hours total, no problems now.

RESURRECTION!

The same exact thing just started happening to my passenger side rear window switch, I have to take it in soon but am assuming its the switch again.

I'm having the same issue with my 07 Sierra except both sides are acting up. It was the driver's side first; once it's down, it won't come up. I just noticed last week that the passenger side is getting intermittent now too. I have to pull the switch 2 or 3 times to get it to work. Doesn't seem right for a part that just isn't used that much. I've got kids that roll down the windows but 75% of the time it's just me in the truck and I'm not rolling 'em down with the rear switches while I'm driving!!

EDIT: Oh, and the reason I know that the switches aren't working is because now if the whole family is with my in the truck, my 15 yr. old son is doing the driving and the wife and I swap out who HAS to sit in the front!! (Nahhh, just kidding. He's doing a good job most of the time. We started him out early with a go kart then 4 wheelers and driving a jeep on our land and our friend's place...)

2011 doing the same thing.. Thanks for the tip... I will check the switches. Wonder it its due to low use? Can you move the switches around or is it one cluster with 4 switches? I was thinking I could move one of the high usage switches for that one?
