Looking for a place to mount my 3D Maglite

I am looking for a place to mount my 3D LED maglite in my truck. In my regular cab S-10 I had the clip mounts mounted on top of the jack storage cover behind the passenger seat and it was perfect. Out of the way and easliy accessable when I needed it.

Since I now have a CrewCab, I can't find a good place to mount it. Right now I have it in my center console but it's awkward in there with it being so long. I'd like somewhere that I can grab it from the driver's seat so somewhere under the rear seat won't work. It won't fit well in the door pocket without rattling. I would love to use the same clip mounts that I had in my old truck but I don't really want to drill four holes in my side of my center console to mount them.

Any other ideas?

Edit: Just thought of this...what about the Command 3M strips? One strip holds up to 1lb and the light is less that 2 lbs with the batteries. I don't want to use double-sidede tape since it can be a bear to get off but with the Command Strips they remove with no mess. Do you think they will hold up to the weight of the light and the force of removing it from the clips?

I wrap mine in a dish towel and placed in the upper glove box. Never makes a noice, I can get to it easy and I have a towel incase I need it.

I don't have the upper glove box, just the lower glove box and center console. I would put it in my glove box but it won't fit with everything else I keep in there.

If I can't find anywhere to mount it, I might just get a 2D LED one since it's shorter and will fit easier in the center console.

I keep a 4D in my truck all the time. It's too long to fit in any of the storage compartments, so I just keep it right between the center console and the driver's seat. With the lens facing out, it just fits perfect, doesn't rattle at all, and it's easily accessed from the driver seat.

I thought all GMT900 had upper glove boxes?

Not the LTZ's....GM thought it was better to put a stip of wood grain across that part of the dash, instead of a glove box.

I keep mine in the same spot. Basically with the lens facing the front of the truck, and the body between the seat and center console essentially resting on the seat track. No issues at all, and it's ready quickly. I had it in my 99 this way too.

i keep a 6D on my gun rack and a 3D LED in my extended cab door pocket and a beater 3D in my tool box.

you can usually fit a maglite snug under the seat next to one of the rails

Yea I used the screws and drilled. When I removed it when I sold my truck you couldn't even see where they were mounted
