Best leather seat covers for Sierra?

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of removing my original cloth seat covers on my '07 Sierra NBS and replacing them with leather ones. My truck is a crew cab and has front buckets. What are the BEST covers that look like OEM?

I've hear katzkins are very good. I've never personally had them, but everyone that has put them on says they look better than OEM and are of great quality,

I have had them in 3 different trucks, they look like factory, but better quality.

I just picked up my buddys new truck from the apolstry shop today, with a new katskin kit installed. He went with the Tuscany upgrade and man those seats are nice!!!

The Tuscany upgrade was worth the extra 200.00 IMO, The last one I had done for myself , I didn't know there was an option for Tuscany Leather, but having seen my buddys truck, I would have paid the extra.

My truck's were good quality leather, just it was not as soft and smooth as these Tuscany leather seats are.

What's the overall cost ?

I was looking into getting them until I saw the price........from their website I priced just plain black leather covers and it was $2,095 for front and rear. A little pricey for me, I ordered different covers.

Where are you guys seeing 2K? I did a seat order sheet for my truck and with dual heat up front it was 1088. That was a basic leather but still no where close to 2K.

I bought mine two years ago from leatherseats.com - photos are in my gallery. I paid less than $800.00 for leather seating surfaces and vinyl trim. Quality is very good - fit is excellent! I did the installation myself and it turned out better than I expected. Not hard to do but it does take some time. If you do the install you won't need hog rings or pliers - none are needed for the GM trucks. Start with the back seats, they are the easiest! Take your time removing the old covers so that you don't damage the foam cushions in the process. This is especially important on the front seats. The fronts have wires imbedded into the foam that the covers clip to. If you damage these wires - the seat cover will not conform to the seat cushion properly. The kit included everything including vinyl covers for the hard plastic seat backs on the front seats. These covers really make the interior look richer and give it a higher quality look. The head rests and front console lid cover are all leather with this kit. The vinyl is high quality and hard to distinguish from the leather surfaces. Hope this helps with your search.\

I should add that I had several questions during the project and the people at leaterseats.com were great to work with. I always talked to a real person on the first call and always got good advise on how to proceed. They know what they are doing!
