6.5" Zone Lift fitting question for 08 Silverado

I have an 08 Silverado 1500. I want a 6.5" lift from Zone. I was wondering if I would be able a 33" Toyo with either a 20x8.5" rim with 5.1" (10mm offset) or 20x8.5" with a 5.9". The guy installing my lift is concerned with the tire rubbing the control arm/ ball joint. Would I be okay to have him install it or not? Sorry if it's a noob question, I just got my Silverado and I'm only 20 and I've never done anything with trucks/lifts or anything before so it's a learning process. Thanks!

you want to run a 20x8.5" wheel with a 33" tire on a 6.5" lift. the 5.1" backspace is fine. the 5.9" backspace is probably too much. IMO run 35's though

either of those should work, just look on zones website for the lift they show the backspacing, you should be fine

I'm going with 33's because I have a 3.73 tranny and don't want to regear and don't want to burn it out..

Either wheel will work. The 5.9bs wheels are factory specs. I would go with a wider wheel though.

I decided to go with the 20x10, and it's leaves over an inch of backspace with minor trimming required

33's will look good on 10" wides with that lift.

One of my neighbors has a 4" lift with 20x10's and 33x13.50 Atz's, looks incredible and he says it doesn't rub. I've never been in his truck, but from the looks of it I believe him. Not sure what offset his wheels are, but I bet you won't have to trim at all.

Probably because the shop that did the install, cut for him. No way they don't rub otherwise.

You're probably right, the guys not real friendly so I've never been able to look his truck over good. I was just thinking with 6.5" he would be able to pull it off>

I'm sure he will, but I wouldn't be shocked if they rub a little. GM wheel wells suck.
