coolant system bleeding 05 silvy help

not much to it ,here it is ,,,

 

6. Open the cooling system bleeder screws, if equipped.

 

 

 

Important: Use a 50/50?mixture of DEX-COOL antifreeze and clean, drinkable water.

 

 

 

7. Slowly fill the cooling system with a 50/50?coolant mixture. Refer to

Approximate Fluid Capacities .

 

 

 

8. Close the cooling system bleeder screws, if equipped.

 

 

 

9. Install the coolant pressure cap.

 

 

 

10. Start the engine.

 

 

 

11. Run the engine at 2,000–2,500?RPM until the engine reaches normal operating temperature.

 

 

 

12. Allow the engine to idle for 3?minutes.

 

 

 

13. Shut the engine OFF.

 

 

 

14. Allow the engine to cool.

 

 

 

15. Top off the coolant as necessary.

 

 

 

 

ignore step 7 ,as you are only topping it up ,capacities i mean

i did that but i can not find any bleeder screws and 210 is where it normally runs but now it is hittin 240 then i shut it down i wish it was a damn lt-1 i know how to work on thos lol (frustrated) also even at 240 i have absolutaly no heat inside the truck? please help me.

Were you having a heater problem before changing the thermostat? Being low on water can cause a no heat condition. To flush the core, just disconnect the inlet and outlet hoses and reverse flush it with a water hose. Then flow water both directions to finish up
