This was done to see how the steering would feel with no play in the shaft. I'm not sure why this is so unbelievable?

No, I already called the dealership about getting a shaft. Its one thing if I drive it this way myself but if I were to ever sell it or trade it there is absolutely no way I could live with myself letting someone take it and them not knowing about the shaft being solid. New shaft, no questions asked. I appreciate you guys thinking of my security. On a side note, what year did they stop usin solid steering shafts? 1990 or so?
