Listen to the stealership?! Never!!! You ask them anything other then what is spoonfeed to them by the manufacture and it is an instant "NO". I have upgarded the DIC controls, add the steering wheel controls, etc. and they always tell me it cant be done. Lucklily the info provided by carthman meant not having to talk to them at all!

Mine is all installed and working. I dont actually have a garage door but I have X-10 devices in the house that controls lighting so I use this to turn on the lights when we come home at night. And turn them off when leaving.

It took me a while to figure out how to program it mostly becuase the device I was learning from (and indoor learning remote) has a very week RF emitter so using it outside during the day meant I had to hold it up right against the homelike receiver. Once I figured that out it was easy. I saved some notes so if I ever had to do it in the future I didnt have to reinvent the wheel. Here they are:

1. Set the key to the on/accessory position.2. Hold all three button for 20 seconds. The single light will start blink indicating that the current programming hasbeen erase.3. Hold one of the buttons to program, it should start blinking (slowly) right away if step 1 worked. If it stays solid then the programming is still there an you will have to wait 20 seconds for it to start blinking.4. Put the X-10 remote right up against the buttons below the led and press the code to learn. Hold for 2 seconds, release, and press again. Repeat until the led blinks rapidly.

Thanks again carthman!

Can someone post some pics off the console? I'm trying to do this on a '13... I have three little lights and when I search the PN's that are listed they all show 1 light in front of the buttons. Anyways I guess I'm missing something. This LEAR transmitter is JUNK!
