Mteezy94 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Ok, I want to get a 5'' suspension lift on my truck. Rough country is 1000 dollars. WHEW. Thats a chunk of change out of my pocket. Wondering if I could put a 3 1/2 inch on for 400 and a 2 inch leveling kit on for 70 and save some money. Basically asking can I put both on at the same time and achieve the same results as a 5 inch lift.
Mteezy94 Posted February 17, 2012 Author Posted February 17, 2012 So my only options is to spend the 1000 dollars? dang
BlackZ71Silverado Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 If you want that amount of lift, you are going to have to go ahead and spend the money on the proper kit. Stacking a leveling kit on top of a lift will create really bad angles. You will be going through ball joints and possibly other parts. Save yourself the headache and do it right the first time, it will be worth it.
oldschool327 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 If all you want is 5" lift then your cheapest option is the 3" Body lift and 2" RC level. Looking at under 400 dollars, shoot I spent just under 200 from board member sales for those exact parts. There is nothing wrong with this combo and many members here have this very setup. I have over 80,000 miles on mine with never a single suspension problem.

The only problem for me was that it wasn't high enough. $400 is a little low....you're probably looking at closer to $500, but that's still a lot less than a thousand.
jimmyboy8301 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 the 3.5 and 2" isn't even possible. the angles would be so steep you wouldn't even be able to get the 2" spacer in there. you either need to do the 5" RCX or a 3" body and 2" leveling kit

Dave4x4 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Cheapest route would be a leveling kit and a body lift. Otherwise pay up for the 5" rcx.
