Wnter/Summer Wheel Swap?

Now that March is here are you thinking about swapping your winter wheels/tires for your summer ones? Here in western PA we've had blizzards hit in March and April. St. Patrick's day 1993 - 26" of snow and one on Easter in April in the 1950's.PA studded tire law allows you to run them until April 15th. I think I'm going to switch mine the last weekend of March.

Right now in alberta we have about of foot of snow from last night and its suppose to snow till Wednesday.

I usually wait until May to switch mine over but we have a Blackbear tune meet April 13th & 14th so I will switch them before then.

ah... if you switch them early... and "we" get another storm, just wash them quick and you'll be fine

I too will have to swap mine out at the end of March or beginning of April. I need my larger tires so Justin can work his magic my Tahoe at the BBT meet in Chicago!!!

 

But my wheels are machined and clearcoated so they will hold up to a few snow storms with no problem.

North East PA here and I usually wait till the end of April beginning of May.

I always wait until about April 15 on the studded tires and usually later in April for the non-studded winter tires. I was never too worried about meeting the April 15 date as I don't even know anybody that got a ticket for this law in WV.
