Silverado signal mirrors!

Im shopping around for signal mirrors for my 2011 silverado, will the '07 '08 mirrors fit/work with the 2011 wiring harness in the door??

If it comes from the new body style then yes it should work. Best thing to do is look at the connectors on both and see if they match

Only difference is the turn signal shape.

07-08 has a larger LED arrow

 

09+ have a narrower arrow

 

IMO 09+ looks better

I purchased a 2011 Sierra 2500HD SLE with power adjust and heated mirrors. I wanted to upgrade to the DL3? mirrors with auto dim power fold, heated & integrated signal.

 

The dealer ordered a set for a 2011 SLT model but when they got them they said there was no way to wire them in. They had thought there would be no problem connecting to wiring available in the truck already.

 

It took them 3 months to figure out they would'nt work and I would have to have purchased an SLT model with those mirrors to get them. Money refunded but I was very disappointed.

 

Maybe I misunderstood the above posts, but my "09 SLE I traded in with dimming, fold, heat,& signal mirrors would have worked in my 2011?

The signals, heat, and tilt wouild work yes. The power fold would not.

Well the power fold and auto dim does not work. But the signal, heat and tilt does. I did this upgrade to my 2011 Silverado LT. Basically one of the plugs from the mirror does not connect to anything.

I did this last year. If my memory is correct, you also need the Inside rear view mirror with Auto dim. I believe that's where your side mirror gets the signal. Maybe someone else can confirm?

I had the auto dim mirror in my truck and it did not make it work. I read on here that you had to run another wire from the inside mirror to the outside mirror

You need the SLT/LTZ door switch panel and a dealer visit to program it.

You only need the programming if you want the power fold feature. Side mirror dimming is done tapping into a wire from Inside mirror, as long as inside mirror has that option..

I know this is an old topic, but, the SLT switch will not fit the WT/SL/SLE door panel. You would need the SLE switch and bezel for a WT/SL/SLE. W/T does not come with power windows, so, doubt the mirrors would be able to connect to anything in the door, and the switch would have PW switches in them. Don't know about Silverado's, but imagine they would have the same different panels between the LT and LTZ.

 

Now, does anyone know if the express down passenger front door window switch is all that is needed to get the express down feature on the pass front window? And, on the SLE/SL, are the wires for power folding already there, and it just needs two new switch clusters (one for each door)? By clusters I mean the gang of switches, window switches, mirror adjust, mirror fold, door lock, window lock.

even if you have the correct switches you still will need the wire harness from the doors to the body and a reprogram for the fold to work
