when im putting in an add a leaf, do i have to replace the factory clips with new ones? if so where would i pick a set up.

I didnt. From what Ive understood, the only part people replace that isnt included with most AAL kits are the U-bolts, but I didnt do that either.

its pretty much the same thing^ just "adding a leaf" into the leaf pack to "help" for heavy loads

I was reading on adding a leaf that it keeps the same handling but then i was reading your shocks do that and not the leafs . So why would anyone want to add those helper leafs when can just add a leaf.

Helper and add-a-leaf are the same thing, just different name. Shocks do help with handling but aren't the only thing that does. Adding a leaf will help handling with a load as it might keep you off the bumpstops and keep the truck at a closer to normal hight/rake as well to avoid handling issues like the front end pointing toward the sky.

always change the u bolts and nuts ,,,,,ALWAYS !!!!

is it just because they are weak ?

They're a type of bolt called torque to yield. When you tighten a bolt, it actually stretches out a tiny amount and this tension is what actually keeps a fastener tight. With a TTY bolt, it won't return or "spring back" when removed so it won't ever tighten the same again and could allow the nuts to back off. Which would be really, really bad.

thx mike ,they are not a torque to yield as i know it but i like the response as it is VERY true

TTY is as i understand is a bolt torqued using degrees of movement instead of an actual torque value in LBS
