Door lock problem

Well I just picked up a 2007 Sierra 1500 and when I pull the lever out of park, it does not lock the doors. Likewise when I put the lever into park, it does not unlock the doors. I am sure I have the settings set right in the DIC. Anybody have any ideas.

Yeah this should be a DIC setting. Put it in Park and start going thru the list.

I wish I could set my truck to NOT lock the doors when I take it out of Park.

I went through the DIC and pretty sure I have it set right. I actually like the idea that the doors lock when you take the lever out of park. I had a 2004 Sierra 2500HD for the last 8 years and got used to it and liked it. But as I said, it will not lock the doors out of park even though it is programmed to do so by the DIC.
