Hey I have a question for you guys if you don't mind.

Will a lift/leveling kit ruin the suspension of the truck? I was talking to a lady whose husband owns a tire/suspension shop and she said that they put a kit on and the truck was ruined. I am kind of hesitating on getting one now because my truck is brand new and i want it to last a good 5+ years.

Thanks for the help!

Define "ruin" exactly?? I ask because quite a few of the members here, including myself, have ran leveling kits for years without problems. Lift kits will all depend on how it is installed, if done incorrectly then a truck could see damage over time. I've been running my level kit for 3+ years and still running with factory ball joints. Look down through the susupension section you can read through literally hundreds of threads of the good, bad, and the lifted.

I'm not sure how he did ruin the truck. I believe she said that it was mostly in the suspension. Now that I know it was just a 1 time deal I think I'm going to look further into it. Also I am going to look else where to have it done since the guy did have it done at this shop.
