Picked up a GoPro hero 2 helmet cam!

So I was in Banff the other day decided to strike on a GoPro. Pretty cool little thing, takes awesome vids and pictures. So my question is, I bought the motorsports edition. It comes with a couple different mounts, the one I'm worried about is the suction cup mount. Is that mount any good? I'm scared if I stick it to my dirt bike or boat that it's gonna fly off. Anybody have any experience with these camera's?

I guess you could just tie it up with some string, still makes me nervous tho. I don't feel like risking $380 hanging on with suction cup. Another question, I want to order the roll bar mount or the handlebar mount. But I'm confused which is better quality? Anybody with any experience be cool to hear what you've done or some cool ideas for filming. Thanks

Here's a still I took of myself out dirt biking in the foothills outside Calgary.

Well if your worryed about it flying off you could hook up a safety cord screwed to something solid on one end and a hook clasp to the camera in case it flys off, that way you still would have it and the cord would catch it.

Here's a video of my buddy trying his out with the suction cup mount. He says he has zero problems with it staying put even in the cold on sleds.

Cool, good to know. Nice wheelies. On a side note, his bike sounds like its runnin a little lean...

The suction cup is a bad mother. I wouldn't trust it with the possibility of impact, but it stays on the airplane wing. I've tested to 180ktas. Thats over 205mph and it stays put.

My grandad does acro with his on, suction cup and duct tape seems to hold it on fine. Maybe the 6+ G's help hold it on
