Thanks. I'm kicking around the idea of making it a daily driver but I can't decide. It's definitely been more durable mechanically than my 06. It's had 36" tires since 1980 and it's still on the original wheel bearings. My 06 is on its third driver side bearing lol.

haha thats crazy.. maybe GM should take a few steps backward with the wheel bearings in their trucks.

Plans are calling for new fenders, doors. And bed floor. Basically fixing all the rust and then reprinting it the original color. My dad gave it to me so it's got sentimental value and will never be sold. That primer spot on the cab is from this:

I know they have better brakes, I just hate buyin tires for 17's lol

 

Be thankful you don't have 18s. More expensive and the selection sucks. I may get new 17s when it's time for tires.

Why not? I kind of want new wheels and there are more choices I like in 17 for wheels and WAY more tire choices too.

IDK I just like the 18" wheels, but that chop doesn't look bad at all.
