newb tot he forum...not trucks

Just bought my POS 2004 Silverado and thought I would join a good forum to look for parts and maybe help some people out if they have issues. I say POS as the dealer I bought it from was terrible....but it's a decent truck. 2004 Silverado extra cab 4.8 2WD and 90k miles for $8500 out the door. Lowered with hangers and shackles in the rear and ground force 3" drop springs up front. I am removing the springs and installing Bell Tech 1" and raising the shcakles in the rear soon up 1". It's too low...or I am getting old...lol. But when I got it the damn thing was sitting on the front factory bump stops...who the hell lowers a truck and does that? No notch in the rear also, hits the aftermarket bump stops on big bumps and this is why it's getting raised. If it still bottoms out I am notching the frame.

Anyway, 9 days in and I already removed all the emblems, blacked out all the tail lamps, installed an AEM brute force intake, installed HID's, and there's more coming. My former career I was a mechanic for 14 years so as stated I try and be helpful on forums, if there's any drama I am out! ha ha and ha. Hoping for some good interactions on here. And if anyone has some stock shackles they want to part with at a decent price I am interested.
