Smell coming from air vents?

For about a week now, there has been a musty smell coming from the vents. Seeing as the truck has no cabin filter( which is ridiculous) where could this be coming from? Where is the solution?

Smell is from the evaporator. It's staying damp. You might check the evap drain to make sure it is clear so as much moisture can drain out. Do that for starters

Even with a cabin filter this is very common especially in humid locations. This happened in my VW with a cabin filter. Condensation can build up in the vents too. I would run my heat before shutting the car off and it helped.

engine compartment passenger side under the heater box. you should see a small drain tube. use pipe cleaners and check for junk in the tube. biggest thing that can/will clog the tube is spider eggs. there is a product that you use to get at a dealer, is a spray that cleans and disinfects the vent system of mold and smell.
