Ticking noise??

Hi everyone, I have been having a noise issue with my 2011 crew cab with 5500 miles. Sounds like a ticking, popping or metal on metal noise. Not sure how to describe it. I thought it was my GM oval step bars so I removed them and still have noise. I hear the noise when I put truck in drive from park, accelerate from a stop, left and right turns at times and from drive to reverse backing up into my driveway. Any help will be great because dealer could not find noise.

My 2001 Z28 (Sara) has a ticking noise at startup until warm, this is what is known as "piston slap" due to the dis similar metals (steel piston sleeve, aluminum block), and I have a steady "injector ticking" most of the time, it is very light, and not uniform. If your tick is steady, and increases with the rpm of the engine, it is either a bent lifter, or if it is real loud a connecting rod.

From what you have described it does not seem to be the same issue I am having with the piston. The ticking noise is not all the time, it is a tick,tick,tick then stops. I have no clue what is going on here. Are there any TSBs for suspension, steering or u-joints? Thanks.
