patrick_tardif Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 I have a nice thick rubber floor in my truck now but i am looking at doing a box liner and then putting the rubber mat down. I am looking at doing the liner myself but i am unsure of which product to use. If there is anyone out there that has done their own please let me know the ups and downs and what product to stay away from.

SouthCo Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 I've never done a self install but have seen a couple. They didn't look uniform across the whole bed as they were roll on. Maybe there are some better ones than what I saw. I'd spend the extra and get a line-x. Then put the bed mat back in.
00Silverado4x4 Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 I have Line X in my truck but...at work in our little trailers we have we use Herculiner with great results. It last typically longer than the paint job on the rest of the trailer, even in Alaska conditions when I still lived there.
iminaquagmire Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 I can tell you I used the aerosol Duplicolor Bed Armor on my inner bumper pieces. Before reassembly it sat outside drying in 90+ temps for over a week. When I started putting it together, the pieces were still fairly easy to scuff. I've heard of better results from the brush/roll on version though. Still I think I'd fork out for a Line-X.
Black2011 Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 I used the duplicolor roll-on kit, and a spray gun. (cheap spray gun) Got it on sale for $90 (bedliner) spray gun was dads, (think he paid $30) Results were great. Took 48 hours to fully harden, no complaints. Imperfections in my bedliner came from getting pieces of leaves blow into the bed, and having to peel them out and re-spray, but overall it looks great, Was very easy to do. I bought foam sanding blocks rather than using the scotch pads they give you in the kit. Also, because I sprayed it I barely used half the stuff. Its also tough, only chip I got was from a shovel removing rock from the bed.(shortly after spraying)
