GM vans...

GM seems to have done a good job with their 2003 Express/Savanna vans.  I have seen a fair number of them on the road, mostly GMCs.  I guess the new front clip, AWD and rear passenger doors on both sides has gotten the attention of potential customers.  The mildly revamped Econolines are also showing up on the streets, but Ford will likely have to add some new innovative features in order to keep from losing the segment that they have traditionally dominated to GM.

I hope GM updated the quality.  My last experiance with an Express was not all that great.  The drivetrain was very smooth and the van had a solid feel, but the interior was poorly finished and had a very low quality feel.  The stereo was awful as well.  Another problem was the removeable rear seats that were tough to install and did not fit securely.

I saw an old express with the front slightly crushed in the middle of the hood pushing the middle of the front clip down, for a while I thought it was a new. I guess we now know how GM got the idea for the look.......:fume:
