Texting while driving doesn't kill people, people kill people.

i would have to agree with this. this goes to the whole gun thing, guns dont kill people, people kill people.

The better analogy is "phones don't kill people". Texting while driving can definitely lead to the death of others as an unintended consequence, just as random shooting can.

The guy that wrote this blew up the gun control thread with anti gun ideals. I can only imagine he meant that statement as a knife in the back.

Not really. No one intentionally texts and drives with the intent to murder people. And the laws in place are traffic related. When they try to take our cell phones...we will know the end is near...lol
