I remember you from over a year ago at PUTC.  I haven't been on this board in over a coon cat's age.  I was wondering how the BFG 285's have been holding up on the stock wheels now that it's been well over a year.  Any unusual wear?  My pop needs new tires soon and I was going to give him my BFG 265's that have about 7000 miles on em and get 285's, so long as there aren't any probs with em on the stock wheels.

So far after ~12,000 mi on the HD and previously 30k+ on my 1/2 ton, they are wearing fine.  I should have gotten an alignment done after I adjusted on the torsion bars, but I haven't seen any abnormal wear.  I'll probably align it this spring and rotate the tires again.  Won't be long and I'll be due for a new set, and then I'm not sure what size I'll get.  I'd like to keep the height, but go a tad narrower for the snow here in the midwest.  No question they will be BF's though.

Thanks for the info!  Dunlop has the Radial Rover RV in a size that is the same height but narrower(255/85R16) At least I think that is correct.  Dmaxer has them on his GMC CC and they look real good.  Tread isn't as aggressive on like the AT BFG's.  Don't know for sure if BFG makes that size though.

Snow?  What's that?  I don't know what part of MN you live in but here in Stillwater there's nothing.

Yeah, I know what you're saying.  I had to get back to ND to do any four-wheeling this winter.  Used it quite a bit in fact.  Had to drive in some back country, through harvested sunflower fields, and snowed in trails to get to the lake I wanted to fish.  Pretty darn fun.  

 

I hate this area of MN.  Everything is paved and there is no good place to go four-wheeling.  Too urbanized.
