Well, here in TX my house was still standing this morning. My wife & kids were still safely tucked away in bed. My truck started just fine. I didn't see any walking dead or even so much as a fire on the way to work this morning either.

 

How are the rest of you "Mayan Apocolypse" survivors making out today??

 

I just feel so safe knowing my GMC truck has OnStar too.

Its not over yet. We still have to make it to tomorrow. I aint scared though. According to that Superbowl commercial, we will all be fine. The rest of my family should be concerned though. My mom, dad, and sister all drive Dodges, and my inlaws drive Fords and Hondas.

 

I did add some Zombie protection today though. Added the full guard to my bumper. Dont hate on the dirt. I figured there wasnt any use in washing it if the world did end.

well, for me it was a normal Day. The parents are in Chawkins' neck of the Woods visiting my Grandparents who aren't in very good health (they are staying with my aunt and uncle in the Rosedale Area) leaving me with the Keys to the Win and Awesome. if the World DOES end, I'll hunker down in my Bunker of a House.

That is one bada$$ looking bumper setup. Looks great. You do it yourself?

I designed it, and built the bumper, but my students welded the brush guard up for me (with close supervision and help). I also did the side steps, and did the design for the back bumper. The kids did the welding on that one too.

 

The next addition will be to put a cargo rack on my camper.

I took it all light heartedly, but I think my wife was actually worried for a while. She seemed very excited that we were alive this morning. She even called her parents this morning (to ask if they had gift wrap tape) but got concerned when they didnt answer the first time. I guess she thought they became zombies and couldnt use a phone anymore.
