Need help with level and tire question.

So I have a 2010 1500 LT 4x2 and I'm looking to get a 2 in level on it and then put 285/70R17 tires on it. My problem is I got rims when I first got truck which are American outlaw bunkers 17" with +10mm offset so they are flush with the fender, the shop says the tires will rub to much yet I see on here a lot of guys runny on stock Chevy wheels. Do you think it will rub to much that I have to get new wheels?

No offset is the mounting surface is at the center of the wheel. I have a replica factory 20" with the factory offset. It is +22mm. Which means the mounting face is 22mm towards the outside of the wheel. Get the exact specs of your wheel and we can help better. But if it is factory offset you can run a 285 on a level

Ok they are 17" outlaw bunkers size 17x8.5, +10mm offset, 6x139.7 bolt pattern, 106.2mm bore

I am going to move this to the Rim and Tire section. You should get more help there. I know people run 33" all day long on a level and stock tires. A 285 isn't that extreme

INCORRECT INFORMATION on the 33" tires. Go with 285's don't buy 33" tires if you don't want to cut on your truck.

 

With just a RC 2" level kit 33" tires will rub the crap out of your truck without trimming. Anybody that says different is full of it. Call Rough Country and they will tell you the same thing. Max size RC recommends are 285/70.

285/70/17 is what i run on STOCK height no rubbing what so ever, these tires are 32.8" 33s could be shoved in there with a slight crank of the torsion bars and be absolutely fine, if you're running a level you'll be fine i know people running that same kit with 35s and are perfectly fine..

The NNBS trucks can not fit those tires, your old style can. I have tried it myself with RC 2" level and 33" tires, they rub. 35" tires are WAYYY out of the question with the NNBS trucks and a 2" leveling kit.

 

To fit a 35" tire on an 07-13 you need at least a 2.25" level and 3" body lift, you'll still be trimming though.

33's on a stock height or leveled truck is too much anyway. 285's are a perfect size
