First "Official" Mod to the truck....

I'm getting excited reading all of the ez to do mods for the nbs Silverado. Mine is a 2008 Silverado LS. (Never before have I seen a truck with power locks and crank windows...) I just ordered the steering wheel radio controls and I have found a wiring harness for them (For those of us that the wiring is not pre-installed...) I'll do a write up and share part numbers after they work. I also ordered the DIC switch. (And I am happy that it is pre wired for that) I have installed a nice aftermarket radio (Pioneer AVH-X2500BT http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130X2500BT/Pioneer-AVH-X2500BT.html?tp=20217&kw=&org=pla&nw=g&crv=19300128865 It says on the Crutchfield website that it does not fit but rest assured it does....) I also had to figure out something that should be added to a mod list... The antenna adaptor that is needed has to be one from a Chrysler. Not a Chevy antenna adaptor. I have plans to add power windows, mirrors, subwoofer, amps, etc in the truck and will try and do a write up and install with each. I'll let you know how the volume controls and DIC go first... :)

Have a 3600 stall torque converter with a transgo shift kit installed, you will never look back.

I was thinking about adding that exact head unit to my 2009 GMC. Crutchfield said it would be a tight fit, thanks for confirming that it does fit. Can i get some pictures of how it looks after install? PLEASE?

Still waiting on the steering wheel controls and the DIC to come in. I wanted to do some more to the stereo in the truck so I removed the jump seat and started to build a center console speaker box. My buddy built the box part and we installed it last night loaded with 2 Kicker Solo Baric 10" L7s powered off of a JL Audio G1700 Mono Amplifier. Holey Crap.... That's all I can say. This thing just beats your head in. I love it! I'll post up some photos in a little while. I want to remove the box to wrap it and maybe do some cup holders or something. I might have to break out the old DB Gauge and try it out...

Headers is my favorite. If you already have a performance muffler it will make it sound like a mildly built muscle car, and it adds noticeable power increase
