I was referring to shockwarehouse. Very disappointed.

Hopefully I'll get my shocks later this week from summit, so now I'll really have to man up and do the install soon. I can't wait to get these originals off! Afaik only the right front is leaking.

So apparently amplifying your speakers also amplifies the turn signals and door chimes. As if the chimes weren't already loud enough!

Yeah I called in for the price matching. Speaking to human beings does wonders, had I settled for the stated pricing I would've paid just that. But $64 per shock ain't bad, hopefully they perform as well as they've been touted.

Cool. I might order two for the front of mine next week if I can. I'm going to try the price match option too.

Have an issue with my quarter on the Firebird. You can only tell up close but there are some stress cracks in the paint.

It will run 1300 if it just needs some quarter work, 3000 if it needs a new quarter. Won't know until the paint is gone to examine the panel.(would do this next month)

A the problem fixed plus full repaint, wet sanded and buffed to zero orange peel, all panels corrected and refit(better fit and alignment), panels removed for repaint, would run 12K. (Would do this later on, say 14 months from now, over winter 2015-16.)

So, what's your vote? Fix the spot now, or wait for a show quality paint job?

I'm leaning toward get a lot of fun out of it now and do everything at once later.

I vote to do it all later. That's how I'm going to do my pickup. I plan to do all the body work with my Dad, and either rent a paint booth, and have him spray it or pay someone else to spray it. Either way you'll still have a badass car!

I say if you're gonna do it all later anyway, just enjoy it now and get it done when you're redoin the whole thing. No point in paying to do it twice basically.

I had one toy that was show quality, 64 Elcamino , I couldn't deal with it all the worry it was black too, So my vote is a nice clean driver, save the money for keeping it tuned and driving fun.

My worry is the cracks, two body guys think whoever put the quarter on put a thin layer of filler over part of the panel, and that's what is causing it. Question is why they would do it to a new quarter? Could have damaged during install, could have been lazy and smoothing weld lines, who knows.

I found a first gen "Camaro guy" (he has four of his own) who restores cars, on my Camaro site about 2 hours away. I've been going over it with him through PMs and he has been helping and so I'm thinking I'll just give him the business. Someone else on the site pointed out two hour is no big deal for a guy who is dedicated, loves the type of cars, and is experienced with them.

My other option is the place close by, but they are also a collision place, and I'm betting that their current projects are getting a pushed back for that reason.

I'm thinking I'll probably strip most of the paint and spray some light primer myself so he has less to do and save some money that way whenever it's time.

Im sure you have Hagerty classic car or similar insurance that lets you name the worth of the car, so that helps with some of the investment worries.
