The Piece Of Stuff at the air place just told me the exact same excuse He used on Thursday on where the job was at on the bird. "He just bought some fittings". So, in five days, he has done NOTHING.

Tomorrow I'm getting it back. He said last week it would be done Monday or Tuesday(the third time I was given a pick up timeframe), and now he says it " might be done, and if it is it will be late".

These people have no idea how lucky they are I have kids. I have so much more understanding and patience than I used to.

So, what's left that will take two days?

He said what is left is Installing the condenser, expansion valve, and re mounting the vaccum pump(about as complicated as replacing an alternator on an old car). Then flush and charge.

Yeah, two days for what, THREE HOURS of work?

You gonna let them finish or just pick it up?

He said he thinks he can get it done around 6 Tuesday. That means if its not, it should still be together, right? That will be fine, I'll drive it to, well, about anywhere can charge& flush them now.

Going by their track record, nothing will be done .

As of now, all that is left to be installed to make it driveable is a serp belt and the vaccum pump.

Absolutely worst case: I have to do everything left myself. I'll just take some tools and put the pump on and find a belt that works while in their parking lot, (scaring off any customers that drive up while I'm there) Then I'll drive it home and finish it up this weekend. But hey, that should save me a few hundred right?

I estimate there have been at least 10 days with work time totaling in the minutes, going by their progress when I call every 2-3 days.

I don't think I would even trust their work to be honest. Keeps lying to you and putting it off. Shoot you can vacuum it down and charge it yourself

Just got my update:Its in a driveable state.

Aaaannndddd its not quite done. (Wow, shocker there)

He said he needs to finish with the expansion valve, run and crimp a line or two, and finish wiring the fans to the AC system. He is about done with that, but one fan isnt getting power. He found a blown fuse, but isn't sure its the fuse for the fan, still working that out .

The vaccum pump and serpentine system is all sorted out, compress or and condenser/dryer is on.

If I get there at six and the fans work and the lines are on, then I'll be happier than what I was expecting.

As for their work, they have pics of their past projects, and the work looks great. This is why I went there.

My problem is I was never told their vintage cars are put on the back burner until the easy money jobs are done, even the job that comes in 14 days after your car showed up. Well, that and he put off ordering my part a week, and then it turned out to be backordered a week, and they didn't even check places like summit which had them IN STOCK.

(He said he worked on through the night it until 5:30 am.)

Wtf... Just got an update and my bilsteins won't be available until 9/1 as per shockwarehouse, the date was moved a further 15 days back.

At this point I'm going to begin looking elsewhere for a price match with a guarantee to ship asap, or pick up locally if possible. Over a month to get my shocks...

Maybe they are affiliated with my AC shop

They were the best in terms of price and I had never heard anything bad about them. They can't control a back ordered product that's in high demand from their supplier.

Oh and for those not following the muscle car thread, my car was finally released from Air Conditioning Jail yesterday. Then I stopped to get gas(it had 6 gallons left. But that's less than 45 miles of range!) and the battery died for good(it wouldn't start at the shop, but jump started). Couldn't jump it, so had to go find and install a new one at 8:45 pm in a gas station parking lot.

And they say it's my thread

Just canceled my order with shockwarehouse and purchased from summit racing. The latter were more than happy to price match and even beat the msrp of $65 from shock warehouse by $1. Although I did have a 5% discount originallly that made each shock cost $62.

But oh well, my shocks are shipping out tomorrow!

And I can't blame shock warehouse, I would definitely order from them again.

Never mind, their customer service is horrible and the agent just said that the bilstein 4600's "aren't even shipping out anyway, most people are just switching to kybs".I hope he's just a dumb agent msu.

And Bilsteins to KYB's? Lmfao
