I definitely feel for you. Had Century link where I used to live. Only internet offered in the area. It was complete garbage. Was paying $80 per month for 6mbps, and it never got that high. Then on top of that it was always going out. When we moved it was getting ready to increase in price again! I was with them for over 3 years, and when we moved they tried to charge me an early termination fee until I called, and threatened to file a complaint with the BBB, and the ETF went away. They were a bunch of crooks!

When AT&T works it is more stable than cable internet. I pay $40 for 18mbps. They replaced my line from street to house on the 1st of the year. The issue may just be my equipment

That's good. At least you don't have a lot of trouble with it. DSL around here is terrible. It's always going through outages. Idk if it's just old bad lines or what the problem is, but neither Verizon or Century Link can pull off a good stable connection.

I dont have an issue with 480p videos and less. When i get to the HD stuff and live streams i notice

I have at&t and am in the rural countryside. My dsl is very slow. I can only use 1 computer at a time however when only pc is on i can stream 720p. Back when i lived in the city with at&t i was getting like 55 mbps.

If i have 2 computers on at once 1 of them freezes and will not work. I think i have dial-up. Lol jk. Who else on here has POTS? Yall network techies know what im talkin about

Are you sure you crimped it properly? How long is the cable, you do know there is a max length that varies for each type of rj45

I cant believe you installed cat 5E for 18mbps thats such a waste of money ( i had to install fiberoptic ST one time for a mesh topology connecting to a server, switch, and a hub. What a pita [emoji23][emoji23] cutting fiberoptic is the absolute worst

Well my current issues are running wireless. And i didnt run the underground. The drops in my house were designed by a project manager and network engineer. The underground is about 500 ft. I live on 2.5 acres and box is in front of neighbors property
