With a body lift, (and your leveling kit) they should work. If you end up having to trim, it would just be a little plastic.

Thanks man, that would what require a 1.5 or 3" BL?

Well it's kind of funny how many different stories I've heard about what it takes to run a 305/55/20. My buddy ran 305/55 Zeons on his '08 chevy with just a 2.5" leveling kit...and didn't rub....but he had the factory 20" rims, which would be tucked in more than your +18mm Spys. One of the members on here (Blackout07) still had to trim to run 305/55/20's on his, with a leveling kit and a 3" body lift....but he had aftermarket rims. With your rims, I'd run a 3" BL to be safe.....plus the general consensus seems to be that if you're going to do it, you might as well do the 3" because you may wish you had went bigger if you only go 1.5"

Isn't that the truth, did you see your buddy's truck that had the leveling kit & the tires, in person? If so, how close was it? & I was looking at BL's like 2 years ago. But, never did fool anymore with them. In your personal opinion, you think I should stay at the same size 305/50/20 or up to to 305/55/20?

Yes I did. He stopped by my house the day he had them put on.....I told him they wouldn't fit with just a leveling kit....so he could't wait to prove me wrong, haha. However, they were very close...and would have rubbed for sure if he used mud flaps or aftermarket rims.

Well I guess that depends on your desire to put a body lift on. If you've been wanting a BL anyway, then go with the 55's. It would look awesome with about 5" of total lift and some 33's. If you don't really want to mess with the whole BL thing...then just play it safe and stick with the 50 series. That's just my two cents...for what its worth.

What model truck did he have? Would the rims I have currently fit right now? I don't know what the factory offset is for sure. Mine did rub at full lock, unitl I took my front mud flaps off.

My buddy's truck was just about like yours, except it was an '08, and crew cab. The factory 20's are 20x8.5 with +31mm offset. Those XD Spys you're running come in 20x9 with -12mm offset, or 20x8.5 with +18mm offset. Do you know which ones you have?

Ok good. If you had the -12, I'd say 'no way.' Your rims only stick out 13mm farther than a set of stock 20's....which is about 0.5". With a 3" body lift, you should be able to run those 305/55/20's. Without the BL, I'd stick with the 305/50's

I also wish I could have waited for the Toyo AT2 I like the more aggressive look, but I love my AT3s driveability. Blow The stock Bridgestones and the Silent Armors I had on my old truck out of the water in that respect.

I'm the same way. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably get the Toyo AT's....but I'm very happy with my Cooper AT3's. I just like the more aggressive look of the Toyos.
