Chris Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 I'm on the MBRP site. They have systems for you. Do you have the extended cab or crew cab? Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2

dizzle6988 Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 I have the 4 door. And I'm not paying 600 bucks for exhaust. That's just crazy. But I'll spend 600 bucks on a tuner. I think perhaps I'm crazy. Anyways, thanks for the help on that. I must have looked passed it when I was on the site.
txab Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 E3s are NOT the best. Plenty of people on this site have tried them, then trashed them when they began to have problems. Only people that push the E3s are the ones being paid to push them. NGK, AC Delco Iridium, nothing wrong with them

I love the sound of their exhaust too Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2
dizzle6988 Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 It was recommended that I not use NGK's because I have a truck. I mean I use my truck for truck stuff. I had a rice burner back in the day and I ran NGK's. I loved them. Sometimes I wish I still had that car. My first car...*sigh*. Anyways, is there any real difference or advantage to one plug over the other if they are iridium or platinum? And I mean that as in AC Delco iridium or platinum versus Bosch iridium or platinum? Not sure either one make iridium but you get the idea. Anyways, I think I'm going to call Magnaflow and Flow master.
txab Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 The difference in materials is the lifespan of the plug. Iridium is the longest lasting. You can go double platinum if you want, been a few on here go that route. Some even put the copper plugs in and change them more often. Some of these trucks actually have NGKs in them from the factory.
Badass69 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Or the stock Delco platinums which work just fine. My 05's have never been out and it has around 106000 miles on it now... Still starts fine, runs great and gets the same mileage it always has.. I have also had success with NGK's as well. Bosch's have always gave problems and started causing misfires not long into life besides a noted performance loss on a couple different vehicles I tried them in. Even cheap copper plugs did better for me than those, lol.
Chris Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I went 105k on the stock delco iridium plugs. I replaced them with the same Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2

97CAIVIAROSS Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I have never had a problem running the stock AC delco iridiums or platinums in my silverado or camaro. I have also ran NGK iridiums in my Tacoma and the wife's MDX with no problem. I just changed my plugs and wires on my truck put stock back in. I do have a k&n intake(was on the truck when I bought it). I was looking at that exhaust also (don't want any drone) while towing the travel trailer. I would save the money on the tuner and just get a tune from one of the recommended site sponsors. I can't leave anything stock either!
Badass69 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Stock is Iridium, not platinum on an '05 Whatever. I have never pulled them out of the truck nor ever plan to unless I have issues with it, lol.
dizzle6988 Posted January 30, 2013 Author Posted January 30, 2013 OK, Thanks for all the advice. I know that the AC Delco's are the stock plugs but again I can't just stay stock. I'll do some more looking and thinking on the selection that both places have and go from there. As for having a drone with exhaust, I again love the sound of the exhaust and I don't think it will bother me. And I'm all for using one of the sponsers on here including black bear but I only hesitate to do so because what if I want to change the tune at a moments notice? That's where the convience of a programmable tuner comes in.
Chris Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 With the autocal black bear offers, Justin sets up 4 tunes for you and they are on a handheld Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2
dizzle6988 Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 I e-mailed them earlier today and asked a few questions. I haven't heard back yet but I must assume they are busy and perhaps by Friday I'll have an answer. The answers to what I asked will tell if I do go with black bear. It's hard not to with all the promotion everyone here has been giving them.
