Remote start and check engine light

Tried remote start truck this morning and it would not do it. Got in, started truck, check engine light stays on. Same thing on way back home. Checked fuel cap, under hood to see if anything looked funny, not sure what else to look for. Probably dealer next since it is still under warranty, just seeing if there are any recommendations. 2011 Sierra 1500 6.2 4x4. Thanks!

The remote start will not/does not work when there is a CEL.

 

Have the code pulled, you will know exactly what it is.

An auto parts store could pull the code for you so you'll know what you're in for at the dealership.

Seeing as how the truck is under warranty, take it to the dealer for service. No real need to go elsewhere to get the codes as it will be a free fix.
