Size of Exhaust Tip??

I am loking to find out what size of inlet diameter tip i need for my 2013 silverado 5.3 , I know the size of the pipe is 2.75" but do i buy a tip that is 2.75 ID or 3" ID??

 

and suggestions for a tip are welcome and please include part numbers when suggesting please.

Three wont work, you will need a coupling adapter if you plan to clamp them together, if not, weld it.

You could probably make it work, but it really isn't ideal as that is a lot of filler and will be difficult to fit up well without it getting cockeyed. They do make 2.75" ID exhaust tips, you just have to look a bit harder for them. I would think Jegs would have a few others to pick from made by other manufacturers as well.

That's the one I used, although I did shorten the tailpipe a little.

Magnaflow #35210 is what I used on my 2010. Fits and looks great.

You need 2.75 inlet if you're welding. What size outlet?
