Update: Dealer road tested for 25 miles.....no noise, so I got it back, and will keep an ear open. They said that the Transfer Case Bearing was totally wasted, so they are confident they got it fixed.....time will tell. They did give me a very nice loaner.....2013 Terrain......not my type of vehicle, but no junker either, freakin' MSRP of $44,700, and nowhere to put top soil, gravel, or logs of firewood

A month since the Transfer Case rebuild ($472.00....they worked the price for me ).....heard the grind/growl shortly after rebuild once, real quick.....quite ever since
