how do I cut and paste

Just hit the "QUOTE" button on the upper right hand corner of the box around the person's words you want to include in your post.

And if you don't want to use thier whole post, just go into that window after you've clicked quote and delete the parts you don't want.

hmm...step 1- hit the art store for scissors and glue...jk, the others have it dead on.  The right mouse button can be helpful as well for some functions after highlighting text.
