0 offset wheels with 2.5 level......???

Would it work with 275/70/18 tires? My brother-in-law just bought a set of ProComp 18x9 7031 wheels for his 2012 crewcab. They only come in a 0 offset and I'm thinking they are not going to work with with that size tire, without rubbing/trimming of the fenders. Can anyone verify this for me so I can save him some headaches? He thinks it will work, I disagree.

You will rub....Consider trimming or a body lift.

That is a 33 x 10. Roughly the same size as a 275/60/20, which is commonly run with a leveling kit. He will be fine and any rubbing will be minimal with a 2.5" leveling kit.

I calculated 33.2'' x 10.8'' tire 0 offset = 5'' backspace.

 

i guess it will just be close.

Ok, so I just got off the phone with my brother-in-law and now he wants to go with the new RC 2.5" level and the RC 1.25" boby lift with 295/65/18 Goodyear Duratracs. I'm thinking it will look great, but still have concerns about the 0 offset. Whatever the outcome at this point is his problem and his money spent. Thanks guys.

295/65-18 = 33.1'' x 11.6'', 0 offset = 5'' backspace.
