Anyone else have problems with cracked plastic in their interior?

Yep. You mean the side of the box. I stare at it in my mirror every time I drive it. It was the same on my Black vmax. It was almost kinked a bit. Could always see it when I looked in my side mirror while driving.

Just contacted support. The lady was very nice and helpful. I'll be dropping the truck off next Tuesday before I fly out, and I'll see what they say.

bought my '12 back last summer and was great til about 3 months of driving. Since then the dealer has had to replace nice backup sensors and 3 wiring harnesses. We have more winter here in Saskatchewan than not and Ive found that somewhere in the dash or firewall on the passanger side loves to give a nasty constant squeak when its cold out. Annoys the crap out of me and all the dealer says is that it's normal for when the plastic gets cold or ice builds up on the firewall. When I spend 57k on a truck I thought a little quality would be put into the vehicle. Driving past the Ford or Dodge dealer every morning to work listening to this squeak makes me wish more and more I woulda taken one for a test drive.

About your backup sensors... One thing the dealer did for mine when I bought it, is screw chunks of rubber behind the sensors to protect them from rocks. +1 point for them on that one.

Yep. It's the same with the front fenders too. Once I noticed it I looked at every truck I saw after that, and they all have it.

Are talking about the kink on top of the wheel arch? my truck has it as well. I do not delieve those are cracks on the door panels. I believe those are seems from when they were molded out of an obviously crappy mold

Initially, i thought it was normal as well. But they are different lengths and shapes. Im pretty sure they are cracks

Kneel down kind of at the side of your truck one time, and look at the area above the wheels on your beside. It's harder to see on a light colored truck, but if you look in the right light you can see wavy sheet metal. I never noticed it on my white truck, but I do on this one. My guess is because of how thin the sheet metal is it deformed the steel when they formed the wheel opening on the bedsides. That's quality there.

I notice that more on the silverado as the whole bed side & fender is flared. The Sierras are only flared around the wheel & not as wavy. Not that one is better than the other or saying it is right. They both are the same gauge of metal, it is just a part of production.

That being said, look at the tail gate of a F150. Most are wavy at the bottom from how they stamp the three line cross bar in them.

Something else on the F150, the hinges on the rear of the super cab doors are completely exposed. Walk up to the back of the cab & look down. Am sure that will look/work great in 5-8 years.

Not bashing any brand, just irritated that $40-$50 thousand dollars for these trucks should net more than thin sheet metal & play school type plastic interiors.

I noticed that also about the Sierra. Not sure if it's better because of how the bed side is molded different or not? My tailgate is wavy at the bottom also. Seems like every piece of sheet metal on the truck has some sort of wave in it.

Those really are marks from the mold on your handles. Just because they are different in size doesnt mean it isnt a mold, the mold could (and obviously is) shaped different for each side. And like you say, they shouldn't be there in the first place.

I haven't even done my first oil change yet, and both front door handles are cracked in the exact same place. They also creak and crack with any applied pressure at all(adjusting my arse on the seat for example.) The panel for the passenger airbag isn't even flush with the dash.. Just looks sloppy and cheap.

I'm dropping my truck off when I go on vacation next week. To address the vibrations, the cracked door handles/arm rests, and the fog light that is burnt out already.. 3700 km later...

Quality.

You got bad luck. All makers are junk somehow, I am a perfectionist like you. It bugs me that my seat doesn't stay clamped together on my drivers side in the front. I thought nothing of it until it was too late.

This was my first new vehicle, now I know what to look for and don't get buffaloed at dealerships. I know more about the vehicles than the salesmen at some dealers. It's criminal really.
