Cruise Control Stopped Working

Sorry man. Its been a downpour of rain here and i dont have a shop. I just went out there and checked the plug. I just pulled it off and turned the key to the run position. I then checked the grey wire and had 0 Volts. Then I checked the blue wire and it had .01 volts. What should i do? Thanks

Been raining here as well but I'm sure not nearly as much as your location. Was the cruise control switch in the "ON" position when you checked the grey wire? If so that's the "turn on" voltage for the throttle actuator control. No 12 volts there, no cruise control. You did say you checked the cruise control 10a fuse correct? That's where the power is coming from....

First check the fuse w/ a meter, next thing I'd do is to unplug the multifunction switch and check the incoming power from the fuse block (should be a brown wire). If I had power getting to that point I would plug the switch back up and back probe the grey wire at the multifunction switch connector to make sure it's coming out of the switch. I don't know how much trouble it's going to be to get to that connector but since you changed that switch out once already I'm sure you can handle it. Let me know how it goes.

Ok i just went out and checked the fuse. Its fine. I even changed it to another fuse and still nothing. Ill go do what you said above and see if i have any luck.

Fuse block has 12V

 

There is not brown wire on the multi function switch but i probed all the wires. There is power going in both the plugs.

 

I checked the grey wire going out and 0 Volts. But the pinkish wire next to it has 12V's.

 

So hopefully you can use this info and tell me where to go next lol.

I'm trying to find a diagram of the connectors that are part of the MF switch. Hang on there...

The wiring diagram does show BN, which I assumed was brown. The pink wire may be part of the blinker switch.

 

The pink wire is part of the windshield wiper functions.

You said there are two connectors for the MF switch.....give me the wire colors for the one that we are going to assume is the CC functions (grey wire).

There are 2 going in and one going out. Here is pics. This one has the one with the grey going out. Grey pink blue black.

Any way you can get a picture of the other one as well? Do you still have that one you bought at the wrecking yard? If so a picture of the wiring on it may help.

The pic above, my fingers are touching the wires coming out. Right above my fingers you see another harness plug plugged into it. Thats the other one. Here is a pic of the one on the top where the hazard button is.

The 5 wires plugged in just to the left of the hazard switch are for the turn signals/hazard lights. Nothing there has anything to do w/ the cruise.
