Differential Drop kit

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a differential drop for my 2004 1500 Z71 Silverado?

How much of a drop? I would call the various suspension companies and see what I could work out.

Should be simple to fab one if you can't find any. RC has a 1.5 for the 900 series.

A diff drop would be unnecessary for just a leveling kit.. My keys are cranked about 2 and a half inches and i have about 145k now. original front end parts

I briefly ran a 1.5" diff drop with my 2" leveling kit. I would always take flat cv angles if I could.

well what advantages would you get with the drop?

Theoretically by dropping the differential with a leveling kit would bring the cv shafts closer to flat, this would then create less wear on them. Once again this is just a theory!

Did you have any issues with clearance on any of the front end parts? I would raise mine if the CVs would be flat.

I really dont see it as being necessary at least on a GMT800 with t bars, i know too many people who have gone 200k plus on a leveling kit not having anything wear out prematurely. But that's just what I have seen from my experiences.

 

im not saying leveling dosent wear anything out faster.. but still

No clearance issues at all. I left it on after I pulled the Junk Country 3" kit and went back to a 2" leveling kit. If you cn find one, and you want one, then go for it. 2" of angle isn't much for any truck, but .5" of angle is always better...no matter how you look at it.
