Hair trigger triggered from an earthquake when it was cocked with one in the chamber is the only explaination for this one. Anyone who knows how a gun functions knows they don't go off for no reason.

Ill keep you guys updated if I hear more. Yeah I saw that was was a little surprised the sheriff seemed to go with the story. Shot in the head by a gun sitting off to the side. Pretty "odd".

Very sad. The problem is that most people who are not familiar with firearms believe that guns DO "just go off", which is a theory promoted by the media. You continually hear that "the gun just went off". No amount of talking and demonstrating to people who believe this will sway them. You can bet there is more to this story, but we'll probably never hear it all.
