Great game

Been playing The Last of Us for the last week or two on and off. So far, I'm at the Water Plant/Dam thing to meet with his brother. How much longer left till I beat it?

Finally caved and picked up a PS4 earlier this week. And then promptly left for Chicago. So today was pretty much the first time I played it. Been goofing around with the NFS Rivals and I also picked up COD Ghosts and Advanced Warfare but only got so far as taking the plastic wrap off the cases. GTA V is pre-ordered.

 

Chris what is Drive Club like? NFS is decent but I'm looking for something a bit more standard for a racing game and the Gran Turismo title is still waaaaay out. I'm pretty rusty at everything (read: I kinda suck ) so it'd be nice to have offline play since I keep getting my butt kicked at the online stuff with NFS.

lol I'm new to all this stuff- is the name I click to "log in" to the PS4 when it powers up the same as my online one? If so, it's just mdubiansky. Same for the ID on NFS.

I been sleeping more lately. Tonight is poker night though so i am not home. I generated all that from the playstation app on my phone

It can be confusing at time's but if you play the game's on storyline, then you will start with MGS3, which is my favourite out of all the series, beat every game mode to include extreme with all the unlocks...... no life as a kid lmao, anyhow, after that you will play MSG portable ops, Peace Walker, Original Metal Gear, then Metal Gear 2, though you can skip it, wasn't the best, then MGS 1, MGS 2, MGS Rising, can skip as well, MGS 4, and then whatever is next in the series. Now, with the newest MGS coming out, MGS 5 Phantom whatever, continuation of Ground Zeroes, those two take place after Peace Walker, GZ then the new Phantom Pain. Personally, I would play those two last unless you wanted to go hardcore with it and play timeline's. Other than that, even with gameplay, reading the actual storylines help since there is soooo much info, it all gets lost but otherwise, sorry for the rant. You probably knew all of this and I am more than likely forgetting a game or two. I'll have to read up myself!

Haven't visited thread in a while, so that explains the late response:

 

I stopped playing peace walker because the base management got tedious, fun game otherwise.

 

Snake Eater had very clunky controls and menus. The fact it locks you in place when your just equip a scoped weapon is idiotic. Story was good though.

 

The only games I haven't played are the 80s MG 1&2, PO, and the Ground Zeroes. Played MGS1 again to brush up and it still holds up very well besides graphics. Starting my second 2 play through tomorrow.

 

I REALLY liked Rising. The thing is people didn't realize it was an ACTION game, not a stealth game. It was a fantastic Action game.

 

That's what happened with me on PW, I didn't realize it was a base management game, with some simple salelth levels, and some bosses thrown in.

 

 

I got a limited edition of infamous Second Son today for $15. Best buy had 1 leftover from way back, on sale for $25, with gamers club it was $20, and I got a free $5 cert in my email from them.

 

I really want Horizon 2, but I have about 2 years worth of free PlayStation Plus games I need to try!

 

Remember guys, any points MS converted to cash in your account expires in JUNE! I had a bunch of cards I had gotten as gifts and had $90, spent $25 on that Forza 5 car pack on sale a few weeks ago. Took me 2-3 hours to claim all the cars in game.

 

 

As for Gran Turismo, since that engine on the recent one was new, I read an interview they were probably going to just upgrade gtaphics, so don't expect the PS4 GT to take TOO long. The sales on numbers on 6 stunk, worst ever, because the gamble people would still buy it just because so many people have PS3s, and didn't want it on PS4, failed them big.

I'm open to any of the racing games really, it's good to have feedback from others before you plunk down the cash- these stupid things have gotten expensive since I was last seriously into this stuff.

 

If memory serves, when you used the sniper rifle in MGS on PS1 you were immobile too. You could also OD on diazepam.

Yeah, but 1 and 3 were made 10 years apart? They couldn't figure it out (like all the other games) by then?

 

The crew has a closed beta, the reports aren't good. Bad graphics and arcadey handling. Hopefully that's just the beta issues
