Saw a Stealth Gray Sierra on Leftlane News in their review. It's a really sharp truck. I think the only color I don't like it in is black.

I am not a fan of black either. It looks great on the truck but is hard to keep clean and is the most prone to fade, showing scratches etc.

 

As soon as the 6.2 is avail to order I am going to see if I can order mine In the special order 2013 mineral green metallic. I was going to hold out for the 8 speed but screw it I can't wait any longer!

Looks like it will be tough to find one without those lame ass steps in the rear bumper. Seems like almost every one has that option.

No need for an aftermarket "bumber" when a perfectly good one is standard from GM.

 

It appears that they want to push these out to the lots early and often to show off what they believe is a clever option.

While I am on a rant, why the hell does the all terrain package REQUIRE bucket seats? I prefer a 40/20/40 seat. One more thing, Why the hell can't you get color matched grill and bumpers for extra $$? Probably because GM can get more $$ out of us by only making that available in a $2080 "package"

Yep, its all about the $. There is bigger profits in upscale trucks and limiting choices increases profits. If they let every option flow on the SLE then they sell less SLT's. Maybe they don't sell as many but the make more money off those they do sell.

 

For instance, Cadillac is coming with a 2014 redesigned CTS and the base price is jumping $7,000 over the 2013 model. Why? Because they want to attract customers who have more money to spend, the BMW & MB customers.

 

Also with the 6.2L engine they have to worry about CAFE and if they sell too many gas guzzling engines they run the risk of not meeting CAFE and paying millions of $$ in EPA fines. So, limit the 6.2L to the high end vehicles, they will sell more economy engines while makeing more money on the ones with the 6.2L engines.

Cadillac now has the ATS for their entry level. So part of the price increase for the CTS is that they are bumping it up a level to go after the 5 series & E class. Whether it actually is a dramatic step up aside from aesthetics remains to be seen.

SLE cloth 40/20/40 with run of the mill options was right at $38 or $39k sticker. So the msrp prices are similar when getting the same stuff as a 2013.
