If you are that concerned, drain the oil replace it. If the magnet comes out with a little pixie dust on it ur OK, but if it comes out with big chunks of steel which in guessing it won't. You are fine.

Like he said.... But the key thing he said was it was in 4x4 HI, according to the manual, you shouldn't go faster than 35mph on 4x4 HI. And I'm sure she drove faster than 35mph.

NOWHERE in any GM manual does it say you can not go faster than 35 in 4HI. That is just rediculous

According to my owners manual the limit for 4low is 45mph with no limit mentioned for 4Hi.

So it doesn't sound like its makin any noises or acting up , I haven't tried 4x4 tho, thanks for the posts I hope it's good, Chevys are tough

I use 4hi on the highway around here @ 60mph plus all the time in the winter. Just like any other Canadian in the north. In fact, my truck rarely leaves 4x4 for almost 4 months straight.
