Took only a couple of minutes to find these, and there are many more made by the same company (parts interchange, etc. only difference is some knurling and of course what name is machined into the top:

This design has each principle working against it:

 

Venturi Principle, Bernoulli effect, gravity, flow dynamics, all work against a design like this. The biggest issue is almost no catchcan designs take any science into the design, only what "looks" like it would work. There are even beautiful machined cans costing $500-$700 and up that do little as far as effectiveness.

I started this thread, but have moved on to two different products. I have a Conceptual Polymer HE system on my 2015 2500 6.0L, and a Elite Engineering E2 on my 2006 Cadillac.

 

The Elite is vaguely similar to the Moroso, but takes it quite a bit further. It has the single strand stainless steel mesh, but also has 3 separate chambers for oil coalescing.
