Gonna order me up one of those CP units with the glass bowl. :smoker:

Wow the guys over at CP are lightning fast! Already arrived and installed it this morning. Got the extra glass bowl (never know ...) and extra filter too.

Easy 20 minute install ... but of course, I managed to frig up something  - see if you can spot it. The orientation of the barbed brass elbows changed after I tightened them, which changed the side the vacuum port faces. Planned the install with the vac port facing passenger side ... but now it faces driver's side. Should've planned the install AFTER I tightened them. Oh well - not the end of the world.

Like the product - quality stuff here. Also like being able to see the level at a glance. Very happy. We'll see if this stops the puffs of blue I get occasionally when I use the remote start in the morning

I ordered a CP two days ago...hopefully it comes for this weekend.

As for your puff of blue, it will likely solve that issue. Mine did the same thing a couple times, not once since installing my Jegs. My dad's 2013 Hemi Ram does it about every third start and a lot worse than my Silverado ever did.

You should have it tomorrow - it took 3 days to get here to MA from CA where they're located. Plus I ordered it late in the evening on the 8th - was probably after 5PM Pacific time out there.

Dave is pretty good about customer service at CP. I have gotten several cans from him for other folks.

Tell him I appreciate it. Customer service that impresses me is in short supply these days. When I do find it, I shout it from the rooftops.

I also appreciate you mentioning the place in this thread - I probably would have bought another brand otherwise.

Received my CP today, nice looking piece.

I built the bracket tonight, just needs welded. Mounts off the driver's fender, braces off the driver's battery tray. I will post a picture once its installed. Very simple bracket, all 1.25×1/4 strap, couple cuts, couple bends, and a couple holes, and a little twist.

I will probably drill and install a 1/4 turn valve on the cup. Maybe...

The only thing that sort caught me by surprise is the filter...while it looks like it will work, it doesn't have the air circulator/turbulator dohickies. Not sure its needed or not, just didn't match to pictures.

Nice - came a day later than I expected. That's the post office for ya - they've been real hit or miss the past few months I've noticed. Now taking 4 days or more to get stuff to the midwest or CA ... then other times it gets there in 2 days! Go figure ...

I don't think that thing in the pic really does much, since the air exits up through the filter. Wouldn't do anything to the airflow being up top there. Mine didn't have it either that I recall.

I was going to mount mine on the fender too, but I changed my mind last minute. Figured I'd stick it up front where the cool air is coming in. Not that it won't be just as cool on the fender, but that location made a quick and easy install for me.

In my Jegs, it swirls the air around like a vortex...I figured that acted like a centrifuge and/or forced the vapor to contact the cooler sides of the can?

In 3000 miles, I have collected 8 fl. oz. of fluid from my Elite Engineering catch can. Most of it is condensation with a bit of oil. My dipstick still reads full.

I can't speak for the Jegs unit, but looking at the way the ports are aimed in the aluminum top part of the CP unit (anything incoming from the PCV is going to head straight down, then go up the sides of the glass [or aluminum] bowl), it looks like the air should move around enough. Guess the real test will be the next time I tow.

The Jegs ports are almost identical. You can watch the air spiral around the housing when its working.

Ahh I see what you did there. Nice job!

Wow that aluminum one is way bigger than mine! Like double the length! I wanted to be able to see what was going on inside, so I went with the glass. Wish they made the bigger glass one. Hopefully I won't need it. We'll see ...

EDIT just to say, still 0 miles on my setup - I don't drive it much, but when I do, the miles pile on pretty quick.

I put around 30 miles on this morning and had probably a quarter ounce of water...won't take long to fill at that rate.
