Just saw this. Galvanized steel body panels? Is that new for 2014?

That's a big win for long term rust prevention, especially for those of us that live in the Northeast. Pretty sure this is what Porsche has been doing for decades, which is one of the reasons you don't see many old rusty Porsches.

Sounds good! I am still going to get the truck sprayed with Krown this Friday since I live in northwest pa. We see harsh winter roads and the cars need all the help they can get against the stuff penndot throws down.

Hey there, I lived in Erie for four years when I worked for Penelec. Loved the Summers, hated the winters. I moved back home to Berks County in 2010. It's amazing the weather difference from NW PA to SE PA.

That's good to hear, every 2007-2013 I see in dark colors has wavy body panels, especially the bedsides.

At least I'm not the only one who noticed the wavy metal. Mine drives me nuts sometimes, but eventually I plan to hide it with some street style fender flares, and then add some wider wheels to go with the flares. I did notice the 14's look a lot better though.

No, not new, but possibly the extent as to which it is used is the most yet. Watch the first video, 7:40 minute mark:

Note that the amount used is nowhere near the entire truck, like the new one (except for the hood as the link you posted states).
