Base V6 truck. Would have liked a V8, but for light hauling and pulling a small travel trailer, the 6 will work out fine.

For the money, I'm not going to complain.

Whoever ordered the Fleet specified the V6 and the other special equipment.

The trucks also have the nice turned metal toolbox on the bed. That was extra if I wanted it.

I passed on that since I'm going to be putting on a BAK Flip folding tonneau setup.

When people state OTD, does that total include tax and fees?

Some due some don't I didn't because I want to know the actual price, taxes are different everywhere, hard to judge that

Some do and some don't. Here in Nebraska we pay TTL completely separate from the dealership.

Without knowing the MSRP the stated final sale price means ZIP, never mind tax title other fees ... (which can make alot of difference as well) and forget about the OTD $ when there's a trade involved ...

Dealers love to hide the actual final numbers from the buyer, and do a go job at it

If I am not mistaken, taxes go on the lease payment; and for buy, go on the sales price. So for instance if you buy a $40,000 truck, they will add the taxes onto the 40K.

but if you lease, the taxes get added onto the lease payment, since you are not purchasing a $40,000 item. Only a portion of it.

Ya lots o technical issues, in new York u get taxed on a portion of rebates aa well, so beat to put the actual truck number,

Anyone get a 16 yet?

In TN you pay taxes on the whole rebate but only pay taxes on the difference between the final price of the truck minus trade in value. I have lived in TN, VA, and NC and all three states do things totally different but at the end of the day the all get some money out of you when buying a vehicle.

I qualify for employee pricing, will dealers be willing to go 20% off MSRP on top of that? That would bring the price to $31323.63, is this just wishful thinking?

20% off MSRP after all deals and offers is typical.

More than that is rare, but it has been done.

30% off is a stretch I think.

Ok did the deal yesterday, traded my early build 2014 for a July build 2015, with the 6 months remaining on my lease they bought out and another $6,400 in incentives looks like with an MSRP of $48,265, I paid 38K and some change for a discount of about $10,000......zero down.

Oh BTW, forgot to mention-the rep I bought this truck from (and 6-7 other Chevy vehicles from over the years), and have become friends with, told me despite the 10K plus off MSRP, they still made app. $2200 on the transaction. There is a huge push on starting now to move the 2015s and fast, from GM.

Shows you what the margin really is on these things doesn't it....
